Karaage is not only for a side dish for lunch or dinner but also a side dish for Bento (Japanese boxed lunch) or a snack while drinking.
Karaage can be made by meats or fish but chicken Karaage is the most common Karaage.
Of course, many restaurants serve Karaage as one of their menus.
Small pieces of ingredients are marinated with soy sauce, garlic, ginger and other spices then coated by wheat flour or potato starch before deep fried.
There are many different types of recipes for karaage.
You can also get chicken Karaage at supermarkets, food stores, convenience stores or specialized Karaage stores.
