Japanese Food 100 – #3 RAMEN

Ramen is a very popular Japanese noodle dish.
It’s made up by wheat noodles (yellow in color) or whole wheat noodles in soup together with toppings such as Chashu (roasted pork), seaweed and green onions.
Soup can be Shoyu (soy-sauce), Miso, Tonkotsu (Pork bone based), chicken based, fish based or mixed…
Some popular Ramen restaurant can make a long queue just to get into the restaurant at lunch time.
Ramen can be eaten late at night after going out for drinks… It’s not recommended, though… Many people like to eat ramen after drinking as Shime (the last bite for the evening).
