Japanese Food 100 – #15 Yakisoba

Yakisoba is one of the most popular casual Japanese Food and originally a Chinese food, introduced to Japan in early 20th century.
Yakisoba noodles are made from wheat flour with vegetables and/or meat and seafood.
It is flavored with a sweetened and little spicy thickened condiment similar to Oyster sauce or simply seasonings like salt and pepper.
Yakisoba is often consumed in summer festivals and outdoor BBQ occasions.
There is a popular Yakisoba dish, Omu-soba, which is omelet with a filling of Yakidoba.
There is a sandwich, Yakisoba-pan, which ingredient is Yakisoba and it’s very popular among younger generation. Yap, carbohydrates in carbohydrates.
