Japanese Food 100 – #36 Dashimakitamago

Dashimakitamago, rolled dashi omelet, looks similar to Tamagoyaki.
It’s infused with the flavor of dashi stock made from fish (usually bonito) and kelp.
Compare to Tamagoyaki, Dashimakitamago is less sweet than Tamagoyaki and texture is softer and fluffy.
It’s usually served with graded daikon radish.
Many people prefer to eat Dashimakitamago with dash of soy sauce.
It’s used squared pans when cooking Dashimakitamago.
